Pros

Manufacturing processes are diverse and interesting and offer challenges to the technically minded.

Cons

Leadership leaves a lot to be desired. Blind ambition, personal agenda's and nepotism are common themes. There is a very strong entitlement culture where the idea of an honest day's work for an honest day's pay is a foreign concept. The tendency to promote from within (or hire family and friends as per the nepotism comment above) and only look within the business itself for "good practice" has allowed the organisation to become stale devoid of imagination or innovation. They talk about the company values a great deal and leadership are more than happy to hold you to them without actually living the values themselves. It is not a walk the talk business but rather a do what I say not what I do business. Overall, I would look elsewhere if your mental health is important to you.
