Pros

The company is entering a new chapter with exciting possibilities, especially following its recent acquisition. There are talented, dedicated people across the business, and with the right team and support, the experience could be a rewarding one.

Cons

During my time here, I found that some teams struggle with unclear expectations, communication gaps, and inconsistent approaches to leadership. Key processes and responsibilities often lacked clarity, making it difficult to work effectively or feel fully supported. Attempts to improve or clarify things were not always met with action, and opportunities for open feedback and growth could feel limited at times. The environment tended to feel reactive, with more emphasis on appearances than genuine collaboration or development. This may suit individuals who are highly self-directed and prefer to operate independently. But for those who value mentorship, transparent leadership, and a psychologically safe culture, the experience might depend heavily on the teams you’re placed in and work with.

Pros

Inciper have been exactly as they advertised through the recruitment process. From day 1 I've been given adequate responsibility and opportunity to grow. I've been supported and given a voice to suggest any change or ideas, and that has been taken on board and acted upon already. I've been involved in projects that have allowed me to grow, step out of my comfort zone and get into the things I love about my role. Not only this but I have had changes to my personal circumstances whilst employed by Inciper, which has unintentionally had affects on how they approach our work together, and they have been actively supportive, inclusive and are demonstrating their ability to seamlessly embrace change.

Cons

The only cons so far really have been that there's a lot of remote working and I'm unfortunately at an inconvenient distance from the London office, so it just makes meeting with the team a smidge more difficult, so it happens less often. However this is not something I've brought up with management and I suspect if I did, they would happily cover travel to the London office and/or host more Northern office days.

Pros

Feedback is taken on board. As part of the induction days, you get to talk to the founders. If you say you're struggling with a project, the reaction is "what can we do to support you better". If you say you don't know something, other team members will point you to resources or knowledge share with you. Everyone is very welcoming to new starters and there isn't a single person I've spoken to who hasn't made me feel welcome. You're encouraged to set a long-term development goal for yourself and will be supported with dedicated time to learn or exam fees being covered to help achieve that.

Cons

Sometimes you end up working on a few too many different projects but that's just the nature of consultancy.
