Pros

I have been employed with Intandem full-time and now Part-time as an Account Executive and have worked for this company since 2015. Intandem has always adjusted to my needs as a student, as a young business owner myself, and as a new mother. As a full time employee, we are granted 15 days PTO to use within a calendar year as we please, this was a more than generous policy for a small company. I feel 100 percent supported by my team and the CEO, Sara Webb. Even when the going gets tough, I am so blessed and thankful to be with a company that I know has my back no matter what life throws at me. Like with any company, you have to prove your loyalty and your trust. It is not just granted. I have fought deep in the trenches with Sara and I have learned so much about being a small business owner, a woman entrepreneur, and a go-getter. Sara truly inspires me and she works so hard to cultivate a culture that is accepting, fun, and productive. Yes, this job is fast-paced, but she doesn't sugarcoat the expectations. Intandem is a place for driven go-getters to thrive - this is not a position for clock-watchers or time-milkers. Sara brings endless creativity and excitement to the workplace, and offers so many opportunities and incentives to continue your education as well. I love being a pert of team teal, and am so incredibly gracious to this company. It has been an endless blessing for me and my family. I am able to be creative, shop for clients, save money for my family, and spend time with my kids in the evening with this job. It's not just a job for me, Intandem has become a passion and career path for me and so many others!

Cons

You MUST be a detail-oriented, multi-tasker to be successful. This job is time-sensitive and requires urgency to be successful. The people upset over their experience underestimated the level or organization required. The promo industry has several components, it takes at least 6 months to master the role of Account Executive or Marketing Assistant. Most people get frustrated and quit thinking it's a fault of the company when in reality they are failing to humble themselves to the learning process. Intandem is a small business run by a great leader who is tightly connected to industry giants, being on the ground floor of a small, growing empire means having to adapt along with the company. If this is outside your comfort level, you are better suited to work with a larger company where you can hide in your cubicle and just be another number.

Pros

I cannot say enough kind things about InTandem and their CEO. I worked at InTandem in their Birmingham office for almost two years, and I can honestly say I have never learned more or had better experiences anywhere else in my career. The CEO is an absolute role model for every employee at InTandem and one of the best motivators you will ever encounter. I truly loved every day in this role and loved getting to sell promotional gear to clients who are just as amazing as the team at InTandem. The CEO and her husband, go above and beyond for their clients, but especially for their employees. This is not an easy job, and I don’t think anyone should apply if they expect to skate by with minimal effort. This role is for people who want to challenge themselves and learn from the best in the promotional world. I came into this position after being laid off from my previous job, and I was ready to work. I put in the time and effort, and it truly paid off. I am more than thankful that I was hired and that I got to spend nearly two years with such a fantastic company.

Cons

Personally, I am not someone who enjoys work travel, and this role did require traveling for events around 5–6 times per year. The headquarters is located in Georgia, so I did not get to see my boss on a daily basis. That said, this dynamic helped build a strong sense of trust and independence between us, which I truly appreciated. Although there is distance between offices, company gossip can occasionally be quite prevalent.
