Pros

The people are generally friendly and working hours are very flexible and understanding. Work from home is the norm now and you are provided with laptop, keyboard and monitor, but there are also two offices (Brighton and London) which you can go into as much as you want which is a nice option. The offices are always stocked with snacks and drinks and there is a Nespresso coffee machine. Larger staff socials are twice a year (Summer and Xmas) and are generally really good. They prefer to retain talent rather than hire so there is some opportunity for internal promotions. It is cool to work with some amazing sporting clients and we are getting bigger customers each year!

Cons

Upper management are reluctant to exercise disciplinary action on long standing employees. HR presence is severely lacking and there is currently little to no documentation to support and cement in salary increases etc. (no contract amendments). Salary increases are also few and far between even though there is a review annually. Often the lowest paid employees get overlooked. There is also quite a large drinking culture in the company and most staff socials end with majority of people drunk beyond reason. There can be a lot of pressure to join in with this drinking but if you are firm enough they will leave you be. One of the largest issues is that the company has grown from a small company to a large company but it still thinks like a small company which causes all sorts of issues. They also promote and praise those who work overtime and therefore the ethos is that if you work more than you are paid you will get overtly commended but there will be no reward. If you stick to your normal hours and still do a great job, you are basically invisible.

I left with a bit of my health left

Cons

Two-faced executives, weak senior management, sad teams. Too many managers and not enough staff.
