Pros

Good exposure to accounting, financial statements, XBRL, tax filings, and regional clients. Opportunity to learn different types of engagements and industries. Fast-paced environment that helps improve time management and multitasking skills. Team members are generally supportive and willing to help when needed. Good place for fresh graduates or junior accountants to gain hands-on experien

Cons

Heavy workload with frequent tight deadlines. Manpower does not seem to increase in line with the growing workload, leading to concerns about resource allocation. Additional tasks are often assigned on top of existing responsibilities, making it difficult to manage priorities. Work on financial statement engagements involves much more than preparing Excel workings and financial statements. There are client queries, amendments, multiple review rounds, and follow-up work that are often underestimated when planning workloads. It can be challenging to take planned leave without worrying about outstanding work or deadlines. Recognition and workload distribution could be improved to better support employees and reduce burnout.
