Pros

Free coffee. Company parties. Sometimes the manager will take what you say to heart. Most times they won't. No set start or leave times.

Cons

Small company, not many positions to move up. TURN OVER RATE OF 6 MONTHS! Will not give raises. Will work you dry for peanuts then make such a miserable environment that you want to quit. Then fire you once you put in your 2 weeks. Managers and Human resources are for the company and could give 2 rats about the employees.

Pros

In 2017 I was hired as a vinyl cuter/ production worker. In 2018 I was reassigned to the proof coordinator position. I have since moved to running the graphics (production) as well as customer service and proof coordination of my own Ecom brand in a different industry than Imperial. However, in spite of being a different industry- the skills that I learned in both the vinyl cutting room (smart, functional designs catered to the existing production techniques, vs. "open ended design skills learned in an average 4 year program") This is extremely important for any graphics related job. As proof coordinator, I used these skills to gap the bridge between production and, a new position, and skill I hadn't previously utilized - customer service. I have never reached out to a former owner/boss and thanked him for the skills I learned in his shop- however I did just that with these owners, and I will thank them again! Mitchell Eklum

Cons

Its a tough industry -graphics, production and small scale manufacturing, with a lot of overseas competition and a lot of overhead. Its not always easy, but don't take any "unappreciative pay" as being personal.

Pros

A great local business that does business locally, nationally, and globally.

Cons

The head owner, Bill, is an abusive tyrant who breathes life out of any room he enters. He is a formal and a fossil of a leader who can stand to use some modern and relevant courses in organizational behavior and leadership. He leads by fear and indication as opposed to being admired and respected. He's all business with no personality. Meanwhile, his brother, Rick, is the complete opposite. Where he is friendly, approachable, and engaging, he may be a bit unorthodox and do things his way, which may not always be the best way of doing things. Still, his attitude and how he treats you allow for more of a threshold on what may be considered shortcomings. It is more welcoming than the energy Bill brings to the table.
