Pros

Work from home and lovely people who deserve to be treated better

Cons

I feel like I will just be repeating what other reviews have said but it’s a toxic place to work, with bullying and inadequate managers and senior leaders. They operate on a reactive approach to problems rather than a pro-active one! Staff disappearing with no explanation which leads to the rumour mill and people panicking their job isn’t safe. Whole departments being made redundant and even making their own apprentices redundant! Couldn’t quite get my head around that! You work your socks off and other people hang off your coat tails and take the credit for your hard work. No appreciation, no progression and complete lack of respect from senior members of the company. Bang on about their LIFE values but it’s all lies and sugar coating that the bottom line is they couldn’t care less. Staff are taken for granted and worked in to the ground. staff turnover is so high! It’s like a conveyor belt. Instead of sending gifts why not make the benefits package appealing, or even pay sick pay for a start. It’s 2023… and not being paid when you are sick is shocking. Don’t be fooled by the ‘exciting’ posts about gifts and what a great company it is to work for. If you scratch the surface it isn’t all that it seems!

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I am sorry you didn't enjoy your time at Impact Futures. I joined the organisation after you left and whilst there are definitely things we can improve about how we operate - I simply do not recognise the completely negative view you paint. On the specific point of sick pay, I can confirm we have recently enhanced our sick pay arrangement. Thank you for all you did during your time at Impact Futures and I wish you every success in your future career. Simon Rouse, CEO

Pros

fantastic people (non management) remote working

Cons

I was at Impact Futures/Childcare Company for a little over 8 months, when recruited I was told about how amazing everything is, how friendly everyone is, CPD and qualifications are not a problem, how they are going through a transition and workload will drop significantly very soon. What actually happened was i was thrown into a role i was unexperienced for, had a manager who was more worried about KPIs than anything else, have personal issues, didn't want to know. I was met with unmotivated learners who had several coaches before me, had heard the empty promises before from the company. New staff were brought in, only 1 remained after 3 months, people are leaving all the time, management is terrible and really do not care about workloads, learners or staff. CPD is non existent, promise of qualifications didn't happen.
