Pros

The pay can be decent. There are opportunities to work with other departments.

Cons

I don’t think I was ever so drained and miserable in my entire life as I was when I was working for ImmunityBio (also formerly known as NantKwest). There is no such thing as work-life balance at this company. Despite being an hourly worker, you will VERY frequently be expected to work long hours and stay overtime, and if you ever can’t stay late, you are made to feel bad about it, as if you should feel guilty for having a life and things to do outside of work. As if toiling away during the regular work week isn’t bad enough, you will also frequently have to work weekends. If you’re in manufacturing, you will, for whatever reason, be expected to do the jobs of other departments as well. The company itself is a mess. Things are constantly changing and they hide behind the slogan “embrace change” to mask the fact that they have no real idea what they’re doing. They start new projects/operations without having enough personnel/resources to support these operations, resulting in them stretching their employees thin. They constantly rush deadlines and put a lot of pressure on their employees to get things done quickly, and then they wonder why nothing ever goes smoothly. I know for a fact that there are many other employees who feel the same way, I have a feeling there will be a mass exodus coming to this company. If they keep running things the way that they are, they will never reach commercialization.

Pros

It’s inspiring to be part of a company focused on improving outcomes for patients facing serious diseases. The team is made up of exceptionally intelligent and resourceful individuals who are passionate about what they do. The culture is dynamic and fast-paced, fostering innovation and a strong sense of purpose. It’s an exciting place to grow both personally and professionally.

Cons

I personally have no cons to share. However, the fast-paced nature of the company may not be the right fit for everyone. Those who thrive in structured, slow-moving environments may find the pace challenging.

Pros

None. Horrible company. MAYBE only to just get an oncology experience tick on your resume if you have none. Otherwise, this company is just terrible.

Cons

DO NOT WORK HERE. A company run by a senior leadership that rules by fear and threats and all the middle-management goobers just play along. You will never thrive in this place. Questionable ethics should be reported to the FDA. The COO owns the clinical site they use for almost all studies. Just a hot mess... and the constant turnover tells the story. Just a horrible company who does not care about you one single bit. Fear-based culture and your boss does not give a single crap about you. Processes are almost non-existent and 10+ years behind. Just a train-wreck of a company. A space blackhole of actual leadership. Should be a case-study in how NOT to run a company.
