For Profit Business Model Does Not Work In Education - Teacher Imagine Schools Employee Review

Pros

Hardworking teachers and a dedicated front office staff

Cons

Pay, forced 80-20 mentality ( eighty percent teaching done in classroom- 20- out of classroom). This translated into no stipend pay for coaching, sponsoring, ect.. Woefully underfunded as far as classrooms and students are concerned. Possible reason- top-heavy management and administrative costs. Also, school sells the building to its own real estate arm and then rents it from itself with tax payer dollars equivalent to 40 percent of its monthly operating costs! Profiteering in education!
