Pros

Good benefits and rewarding work

Cons

Absolutely no accountability for supervisors or upper management. Part of the department was in a meeting when a supervisor went on a tirade that those with "fat cells are going to hell". He is STILL a team supervisor. We were asked not to advocate for ourselves or the size of our caseloads as they continue to grow, making providing quality care almost impossible. There seems to be a few people across the department that carry the extra weight of case management, while others continue to do the bare minimum. No incentive to meet goals, no accountability for meeting goals across the department, low pay, and a bad attitude from supervisors, and the CEO. If you work here, prepare to be burnt out.

Pros

Passionate coworkers who genuinely care about the people they support. Flexible work schedule for some roles. Creative freedom in certain positions to design impactful programming. Strong focus on inclusion and serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

Cons

Lack of communication and transparency from leadership. Decisions impacting departments are often made without input from the people doing the work. Frequent organizational changes without clear direction can leave staff feeling unsettled. Pay is not competitive for the cost of living in Colorado, especially for frontline staff. Over-reliance on a small number of employees to carry heavy workloads.
