Pros

If you enjoy watching someone use mediocre NLP skills on unsuspecting innocents purely in order to induce self-destruction and mutual backstabbing, you have definitely come to the right place. Best place for schadenfreude ever. Since you will receive no guidance whatsoever, you will definitely learn if you are really a self starter within two weeks on the job. If you manage to quit before you are fired you have won at life and will probably feel empowered to accomplish anything.

Cons

It's quite possible that you will witness someone truly losing it there. Unless you enjoy that sort of thing, it's hard to believe that you would be happy at Layfield. Bonuses and advancement potential exist only in theory. You will quit or be fired long before they don't fulfill any promises. You might be asked to do something that compromises your ethics, if you have any. So don't work there if that's not your thing.

Pros

Joined because I was excited to work on AI product called InferIQ. But it is just a glorified OCR.

Cons

Poor work culture. Leader in charge of the product keeps yelling at the team and threatens to fire people on team meetings. Product roadmap changing on a weekly basis based on trends this leader hears in the news. Teams are working late nights every day and on weekends. The product has failed completely, but the leader is close to owner, so the leader somehow continues to keep his job.
