Pros
* A group of passionate designers who care about the company, their colleagues, clients, and their work - this group unfortunately has to carry the weight of some designers who are just looking to get a paycheck * Most executives care about individuals and are very accessible but stretched thin * Interesting projects, many of which we can’t share. As with most organizations, there are also less exciting projects which can be seen as an opportunity to expand skillset and experience - younger team members may not see the value in getting experience in such projects yet. * In addition to the strong, incredibly smart and dedicated team members who have been at the company for years, there has been a wave of new hires across studios - designers and strategists who are extremely talented, energetic, impressive, experienced, and inspiring * Turnover is actually quite low compared to industry average and tenure is on par - check LinkedIn
Cons
* Lack of true leadership, mentorship, and accountability from *some* executives * Horrible communication from some senior managers and executives - non-existent, passive aggressive, or downright demotivating - for some this may be due to cultural differences (Finnish) and for others perhaps insecurity * Lack of process due to the fact that most of leadership and management teams have little experience in a structured environment - this has been their baby for 20 years, or someone took a chance on them * Capgemini acquisition handled poorly by both organizations. Acquisitions rarely go smoothly, and this acquisition is no different. Capgemini counterparts take the attitude that we should be grateful to them on an individual level and insist their way is the only way.
