Poor salary lack of progression

Struggling to think of any.....

Yet another Zero Hours Contract, not paid enough for NIC, no sick pay. Having to use my phone bill to send hundreds of texts per month and posting time sheets. The hours were always readjusted downwards. Especially after the announcement of the National Living Wage (literally within a day!) In the end it was costing me more in petrol, phone credit and stamps than I made. The 'new' stores and hours were always promised in texts but never became reality. Also I have never worked for a company that was so difficult to get a response from. I received hundreds of texts a week and was expected to send as many, (many were not even intended for me or the area I worked in, which meant me phone was forever beeping as yet another text arrived). Yet NOBODY ever answered the phone, replied to voice messages or emails! On my weeks off I always had over 100 texts! They don’t get the concept that people on holiday want to be left alone! I was expected to cover two local sites and one twenty fifteen miles away and then third store 40 miles away at a moment’s notice. They NEVER pay for mileage. And you will not get a thank you for going out of your way either. In summary, avoid. This is not a career or even enough to justify the expense or putting on your CV.
