Pros

It's employment. You will have insurance and can add your dependents (at an additional cost).

Cons

The recent influx of 5-star reviews is laughably transparent in that we all know it's HR or senior leadership attempting to drown out the bad reviews Ibotta has been hit with recently. Rather than address the root problems mentioned in these reviews, leadership are "encouraging" their teams to come pad the review page on Glassdoor. So understand this: you will be overworked at Ibotta. You will be told you have resources available to help lighten your load, but that is not true. You will consistently put in 55+ hour weeks, you will give up weekends and holidays, you will miss important events in your home life because Ibotta refuses to cut the real fat in their company, and you will do it for the privilege of being sorely underpaid relative to any other major competitor. Jersey patch sponsorship? Ibotta could drop down to any other tier of sponsorship and still get the exposure they desire. Whole-day Mission Ballroom bookings for town hall events that could be hosted at a convention center? No way, Jose. Let's just lay off massive chunks of our already stretched workforce so the CEO can flex these meaningless accolades. This place is soulless and the only benefit of working here is that I'm not job hunting in the current tech climate. Believe me, that is the only reason I and most of my peers are still here.

Pros

The best people I've worked with in Denver Interesting product and modern tech stack Lots of opportunity to grow Free Lunches and Unlimited PTO (that you can actually take)

Cons

Return to office is stressing out all the people who have been around ibotta for 5 or more years, people who have the most context on the product that we sell. It feels like ibotta is in a high-pressure post IPO period, trying to thin its people out by slowly taking away benefits. A few years ago it felt like there was some great hype around our products (IPN, Walmart), but now the hype feels fake around leadership. Standups have gotten really boring and I don't feel like any ICs and lower-level managers are actually excited about projects. The office used to be friendly and fun without the feeling of "you better get stuff done now!", but now it feels like few people smile and are friendly anymore. Same people, but just under lots more pressure to perform. The "common good" of teams working together is deteriorating a little bit. It feels like people don't want to collaborate and help out as much as they used to.
