Pros

Great area for a restaurant.

Cons

Unfortunately, there are a lot of cons to working this job. At first everything seems chill. You're having fun, you're working and excited for your new job. Then the real work environment comes into play and the honeymoon phase is gone. Told that it would be a 14-day training period making $7.25/hour. Despite the endless hours of studying, no matter how many tests you take or how much you try to prove yourself, their goal is to make you essay for a whole month (or more) before even getting on the floor. Essentially it's free labor you're coming in under the guise that you're being trained for your new job but basically you become a busser for the other servers, they also have server assistants that are on the tip pool and are doing the same work but getting paid more. The only training is the time that you set aside to learn the material. Not to mention there are "old" servers that call out trainees every mistake under the guise of just trying to "help them out" and avoid trouble, but in those circumstances there is always a manager nearby, and they do this to remain on the good side of the managers to be considered first for BEO's and larger parties. It's really very sad the way that they loop in all of these hard-working individuals that are working to attempt to make ends meet yet are found working 30 to 40 hour weeks and receiving paychecks of $200 every week for the first month working. There is an incredible amount of passive aggressiveness and overall pettiness coming from the managers. They stand around and talk about you and act as if you don't know what's going on. They expect a lot of work out of you and the paycheck isn't going to reflect that. I would recommend working here if you have a large savings account that you don't mind using to keep yourself afloat during your training period. By the time you get on the floor, I'm sure you will be desperate, and they make sure of it. Even with the seemingly endless training when you get on the floor, you will have a maximum of 2 to 3 tables a night so they can gauge if they trust you or not. It's all a lot for very little and from speaking to coworkers there's no conversation to be had about it and that's just the way it is. A lot of people are scared to speak up to avoid retaliation. Communication between coworkers is not a great lots of angry and disrespectful comments being made casually and almost everyone seems unhappy. Unfortunately, this is a sort of trickle down effect from management and their treatment
