Pros

Some employees have great opportunities. Most staff are smart, dedicated, and dynamic. Organization is very mission-driven.

Cons

Very little diversity. Leadership perpetuates atmosphere of intimidation and judgement with little recognition or encouragement for your work. Family leave and comp time are well below other human rights organizations. 7 staff have left within a year (1 let go). CEO has been Francoise Girard since 2012, not Adrienne Germaine.

Pros

High standards and a commitment to excellence. Smart, hard-working employees. Deep dedication and respect for their grantees. Some professional advancement and opportunities. Collaborative and collegial environment. Good work/life balance. Good benefits. CEO is good, as are select managers.

Cons

While much work has been done, still some areas of improvement, especially internally, regarding diversity, equity and inclusion. Professional advancement and opportunities could be improved for staff who are senior, but not in manager roles. Need to focus more on employee retention. Compensation is good but could be improved for those at lowest end of salary spectrum. A couple of managers are mediocre

Pros

You feel like you're helping women to empower themselves and better their communities.

Cons

There's too much red tape involved, and money is mismanaged in such a way that what could and should be going to partners often goes toward things like flowers for the front desk.
