Horrible management, lack of leadership, poor prospects for promotions and salary increases, huge admin burden and little interesting technical work. Handled the COVID-19 pandemic horribly, provided little empathy and support for staff physical and mental well-being. As most positions are project funded you're always worried about getting new funding, resulting in low job security and stress for employees. Many smart, motivated and hard working young people come here and perish, many are taken advantage of and despite hard work get little rewards and become very demotivated and leave. Sadly, bullying and politics get you ahead.
