Pros
I liked the industry. Company leadership was attentive to issues such as sustainability and women's empowerment. Lots of interesting projects to work on. Salary and benefits package were strong.
Cons
Quite a bit of effort was going into maintaining legacy software. This meant inordinate amounts of time was spent jumping through complex hoops in order to make it support new features, or to retrofit features as very old 3rd party tools were deprecated. Surprisingly few of the developers there seemed to be interested in learning about advanced techniques and tooling that might be directly applicable to their work
