Pros

Adequate benefits. Never work overtime. If you’re early in career, good place to get your feet wet and go.

Cons

If you enjoyed high school, ITW is for you. It’s chuck full of gossiping, back stabbing, and cliques. High performing or doing the minimum for your role, guarantees a 3% increase. There is no incentive to go above and beyond. Inconsistent policies. Some managers allow work from home, others don’t. It’s not job based. Most jobs can have a flex schedule. Harassment and abuse of position are tolerated, creating a hostile and unhealthy work environment. HR sets a low bar for employees to meet. This company could be great if it changed its antiquated views, implemented 21st Century policies, and held employees and senior leaders accountable.

Pros

Great co-workers; smart people who are dedicated to doing good work. There is a general kindness and everyone seems willing to help each other.

Cons

The pay is low, and everyone seems stretched thin. There is little structure to ensure local leaders follow good practices. Evaluation of performance tends to be highly subjective. There seems to be very little management of the management.
