Besides the benefits offered at ITW there are very little upsides to employment there that I noticed in my 3 yrs.. Higher level management has a very hands off approach to issues that employees at a lower or mid-level position repeatedly engage on a day to day basis with little to no feed back on how to solve the issues. This leaves most employees at those levels struggling to correct issues they are aware of on their own with little to no support. In turn this results in the complete lack of a team environment without direction; where employees on multiple levels feel Stressed, frustrated, and or isolated all of which I experienced first hand. Also, regarding the "Work from Home" ideal; certain employees at mid to higher levels tend to abuse the situation working from home for extended days at a time. Not only is this in my opinion unprofessional but also, results with other team members and or the employees that report to the "Homeward Bound" without direction and the sense that the others at home "working" are not interested in the goals that the company as a whole sets forth to be accomplished. Finally, as mentioned in the title of this review: anyone interested in employment with ITW; just be sure to do your homework on the division you are choosing as not all divisions are operated the same.
