Pros

- Access to a wide range of technologies being used across their customer base. If you are junior support engineer, you will learn a great deal in a very short space of time that will set you up for the rest of your career - Extended benefits package includes occasional lunches, regular team days out, table tennis facilities etc - The company does participate in some great charity work

Cons

- I experienced a toxic culture during my time working for ITVET. I was in a management position but was often (daily!) publicly criticised for my decisions and formally asked to explain them. In most situations, I was in a lose/lose position in whichever action I took, would have been wrong. I witnessed this happen to several other colleagues during my short time - Employees being overworked with little considering of "work/life balance". Engineers in particular were expected to travel the country with very early starts and late finishes the norm, whilst also expected to cover out of hours work as well - All the above happened to several people during my time, to the point where they were made to feel so uncomfortable they felt like the only option was to resign - Finally, one of the Directors contacted me personally asking me to leave a review on glassdoor as they had a "number of negative reviews" which I think is wrong and worth highlighting on this forum

Pros

I’ve worked at ITVET for 7 years, and it’s been incredible to witness the company’s journey and growth. The people truly are at the heart of everything we do. Everyone is approachable, friendly, kind, and supportive—not just fellow teammates, but the management team and directors as well. There’s a genuine focus on continuous improvement and moving the business forward, and your ideas and opinions are always welcomed. You’re trusted to do your job, recognised for your hard work, and supported with great benefits. As a part-time employee, I especially value the flexibility and support around working arrangements. Having worked in previous companies where you were lucky to get a kettle and a few tea bags, being offered fully equipped kitchen facilities with a variety of breakfast and lunch options still blows me away. The leadership team is genuinely committed to creating the best possible working environment and culture. I honestly can’t imagine working anywhere else.

Cons

No company is perfect, and I think it’s important to keep that in mind. One potential drawback for some—though a positive for others—is that ITVET is a fast-paced environment. The company is constantly evolving to stay ahead in the IT space, which means change is ongoing. If you’re not willing to put in the effort, it may not be the right fit. At times, the pace and level of change can feel overwhelming, but that’s also what drives progress. After all, standing still doesn’t get you anywhere.
