Pros
I had a short-term placement made by IT Corpz at another company, not in Irving, Tx. Only work for them if you have no other choice!
Cons
Quite a number of things:
- Terms 35: this not very common term in the US is the basis for payment in IT Corpz contracts. It means payment for services is rendered 35 days after the end of the month. If you begin on April 1, your first paycheck will come on June 5, i.e. 65 days after starting work. Since the company I was placed at confirmed paying IT Corpz at the end of each month, why did they not pay me? What were they doing with MY money?
- Don't expect to be paid automatically on the 65th day though. You will need to call and write IT Corpz a number of times. A some point you will hear that someone is going to the back to deposit your payment (really?!)
- Communication with the HR department is very difficult. Don't expect anyone to be looking after you there. Don't expect anyone to answer your phone call. If you write an email, you will receive a reply after a day or two or so.
- Although you may be calling a phone number in Irving, Texas, you are most likely speaking to someone in India (probably why they don't answer your phone call) who does not always understand you and your request. They seem poorly qualified to work with US professionals.
- The communication between IT Corpz and the company I was placed at was minimal. This made resolving any issues difficult.
