Verisk is a great, stable company that has been very focused on change and creating diversity and inclusion. On the corporate level, they are really trying to develop and retain talent.
Cons
My Department management was toxic and hostile. They micromanaged, changed their minds and direction without telling you, made incorrect assumptions and then blamed you when something went wrong and took credit when something went right. They routinely lied to staff about career opportunities and promoted people that didn’t even come close to deserving it. Good staff always left while the bad ones stayed. The harder you work, the more they tried to break your spirit. It sent me into a terrible depression. Senior management is still trying to manage the way they did 30 years ago. It doesn’t work! It wasn’t until I left and went to a place that valued me and my experience, that I realized how undervalued I was.
