Pros

Lots of growth in the company, with acquisitions occurring on a monthly basis. None of these are properly integrated, but that is the nature of the company.

Cons

Support functions such as Finance & HR are way too lean for a company of this size and complexity. They can't provide the appropriate level of support because they are pulled in 1000 directions, with not enough resources to cope with the endless acquisitions. IT systems are pretty cheap (ie your laptop) which is strange for an IT software company. Very top heavy management team, who want to sit in every meeting and make every decision, which slows things down.

We’ve also been delighted to grow our HR and Finance teams globally to 151 employees, with 36 new members in the last 6 months. We recognise that IRIS is a fast-paced environment and we work very hard to promote a healthy work-life balance that genuinely encourages employees to take their annual holiday entitlement (26 days + up to 4 days carry/holiday buy for full-time UK employees). We’re delighted to have been recognised as a UK’s Best Workplace’s for Wellbeing for the second year running and are proud to encourage our employees to get involved in charitable giving. Our Giving Back Days are fully paid volunteering days that our employees can use to do good in their community, from litter picking and donating blood, to volunteering at a school or fundraising. In the last 12 months, over 400 days have been spend giving back. Employees who take 3 Giving Backs Days are entitled to have their birthday as paid holiday. We’re so pleased that our employees enjoy using these days to support their communities and charities, as well as reducing their stress and enjoying a great work-life balance. Pros

I have been with Iris for approximately 5 months and have been incredibly impressed. The people I work with from my peers, leadership (including executive leadership) and my team, are amazing. Building relationships has been easy as most of the employees are open to it, are very collaborative and genuinely want to help! Iris is also focused on equality and ensure we all have a fair opportunity for growth. While we have a lot to do here, it is clear that we are valued.

Cons

As a rapidly growing organization, we have some growing pains and some foundational processes, systems and flow that need to be updated and/or adjusted, but nothing that won't be fixed over time.

Great product and team. Just no focus on US operations.

Company has no real direction for US operations.
