Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re particularly surprised and disappointed by your comments regarding allegations of bullying. We have zero tolerance towards discrimination or bullying of any kind and would strongly encourage you to reach out to our Chief People Officer, in confidence or to any member of the HR team. We take the feedback of all our employees seriously and want to be able to address your concerns and put things right.
We’re very proud to run an extensive 4-week induction training for our sales teams, delivered by our sales training team, and members of our Product Specialist and Market Specialist teams. The training covers an end-to-end sales process, with each stage having individual training modules such as ‘Effective Introductions’, ‘Questioning and Listening’, ‘NLP’ and ‘Closing Techniques’. Each team has a tailored product training programme designed with their manager and delivered by our Product Specialists. New starters are then given the chance to practice these skills and techniques in a week of mock calls to give them the chance to gain feedback and additional training/coaching if required. We also provide dedicated personal performance coaching for our salespeople so that they can develop their skills, learn different products, and grow their careers.
We’re also disappointed by your comments about the sales department having a ‘boys club’ mentality. We are very proud to have a diverse workforce, with female and non-binary employees making over 40% of our Sales function, at various levels of seniority, including director level. We’re delighted that in our recent Great Place to Work survey, when asked what was unique or unusual about the company that made it a great place to work, an anonymous female employee in the Commercial function commented, “The people and the way they support each other”.
We also operate a range of incentives to reward our salespeople for their ongoing efforts. Entry to our Elite Club is a quarterly and annual members scheme that recognises our commercial employees who consistently and significantly contribute to the success of IRIS. This membership is open to all sales representatives who hit a full quarters target. To recognise and reward their hard work, last year we were delighted to take our members to Las Vegas. We’ve expanded these trips to invite high-performing employees from across Commercial, including our Marketing team. We also run competitions throughout the year, with prizes including an electric scooter, Mini, designer sunglasses, and tickets to concerts and sporting events, which are open to all our Salespeople and represent the diverse interests of our team.
