Pros
Working at IQS Directory I've been able to learn a lot of different skills including web coding, PPC, copy writing, and SEO. Because the company is small oftentimes you are trained on a variety of tasks and I enjoyed the variety over the 2 and a half years I’ve work here.
Compensation and benefits are excellent at this company. If you work hard, expect a raise. After 6 months you begin to accrue vacation time and get holiday pay. Along with that, they’ve recently started to offer a 401k plan and health insurance.
The company works on flex hours. If you take shorter lunches throughout the week, you get to leave at 3 on Friday. (So long as you still get your 40 hours in). If you have an appointment or a family emergency, management is flexible with letting you leave work if needed.
The management by Janet (V.P.) is straightforward. She offers great feedback and maintains a friendly and approachable manner. Throughout my time at IQS, I have appreciated Janet’s management style.
Mike, the owner and CEO, cares about his employees and often shows it in thoughtful ways. He’s offered advice when needed and even one time brought in plants for people to take home.
Both Janet and Mike know the business well and I’ve learned a lot from them.
The other employees at IQS are thoughtful, caring, and fun to work with.
Cons
Sometimes it can be hard to follow the direction of some tasks but so long as you aren’t afraid to ask and have an open communication, any questions on direction or otherwise can be easily figured out.
