Great training, but high demands - Account Manager/Business Development IQ Total Source Employee Review

Pros

They invest a lot in training their sales reps. Freedom to manage your own book of business. You are an adult so they treat you like one (no micro management) Encourage you to take days off and not a strict policy for vacation/personal days Volunteering, IQ usually tries to volunteer in the community once every two months. (Habitat for Humanity/Ronald McDonald House)

Cons

Even though training is great, they have very high demands. Commission is determined on growing your book of business by 100% every month. Meaning if you grow your book by 125% one month, and get 90% growth the next month, they will still let you go. Still a young company and trying to carve their training program. It is consistently changing and the corporate office in Phoenix, doesn't think the same as the other office in Houston, TX. Two different owners, two different mindsets. There isn't to much team culture there, they higher people of experience. I think in the 6 months I was with the company, only one team building event outside of volunteering.

Pros

As an IQ employee who had his fair share of experience, here are my top 5 Pros: 1. The people in IQ are amazing to work with. Everyone is willing to help and guide one another. They are detail-oriented and always striving to be better. 2. We have fun huddles every week! 3. The clients we work with are 99.99% respectable. The remaining 1% is a rare bunch and we don't tolerate bad behavior. 4. We treat our customers with WISE in which we go beyond 100% when dealing with their challenges. I believe this is the one thing that separates IQ from a lot of businesses. 5. They respect work-life balance. We have book clubs, 1-on-1s with our team leads, and supportive people all around.

Cons

So far, the only Con I could think of is there are some systems needing to be improved. Though, some of them cannot be changed and we'll need to adapt instead.

Pros

They company has been in business for nearly 10 years. They seem to have had a lot of up's and down's and have learned a lot. The owners are very good guys that mean well running a very ethical business. They have made the Inc 5000 of fastest growing companies 5 years in a row and are planning on it again. They put a lot of effort into building a solid culture through their values and Wildly Insane Service Experience (WISE). It's neat and the customers seem to really enjoy working with the Customer Success Team.

Cons

There are a lot of cons of any small business. 2016 was a rough year and the ownership made some very difficult decisions for the best of the organization. 2017 is a new year - we're excited about our new 15,000sf office in Houston, the awarding of a few key accounts and looking to bring new teammates on board. Overall, even through the tough times the leadership is straight forward and transparent. Pros outweigh the cons!
