Pros

I've been with the firm for over 10 years now and, just as the group has grown and evolved, so too has my role. Working in a Group support function, I've been involved in a wide variety of initiatives while honing specialist expertise and building my profile internally as a subject-matter expert. I've received multiple promotions over the years and particularly appreciate the flexibility afforded to me - including a move between international offices; a period of unpaid leave to travel the world; a switch to full-time remote working (before Covid); and a shift to compressed hours after having kids. I have a great relationship with my line manager, my team, and various other colleagues/stakeholders across the group. I feel empowered to share my opinions, make decisions, and implement change where it's needed. I also find the senior leadership very approachable and, while there's no denying there is a hierarchy, it feels relatively 'flat', with a clear sense that good ideas can come from all levels. Through innovative programmes like Accelerate, Explorer and the Shadow GMT, there's significant Group support for talent development, and I think the business is also really good at facilitating global, regional and local recognition for jobs well done.

Cons

Naturally the job varies in its enjoyability and there have been highs and lows over the years. At the end of the day, it's a private equity backed organisation so the workload is high and the pace is fast. That said, the culture is such that it's OK to raise the white flag when needed and manage delivery expectations.

We loved reading your story! Thank you for your amazing review. Stories like yours show what our culture is all about: growing together, grabbing opportunities, and supporting each other along the way as One IQ-EQ team. You’ve taken full advantage of our flexible ways of working, moved jurisdictions, grown your skills, and felt at home in your team. It’s also great to hear that you feel empowered to share your ideas and make a difference! That’s exactly the kind of open, collaborative culture we’re aiming for globally. We totally get that things can get busy and fast paced, but we want everyone to know it’s okay to ask for help or set boundaries when needed. Looking after each other is a big part of who we are. Wishing you many more years at IQ-EQ. We're already curious to hear about the next stage of your IQ-EQ journey and where it might take you!

Pros

Process very organized and structured. I was allowed to partially onboard prior to first day. Received high quality company swag. The people here are what impress me the most, they genuinely are busy but yet want to connect and get to know you.

Cons

Dallas traffic (uncontrollable). I do not have any negatives.

Pros

Co-workers, benefits, work from home, learning opportunities.

Cons

Compliance department is toxic: bullyish behavior by directors, enormous workloads on associates and junior staff while directors are not communicative or connected to clients and teams. Juniors are not allowed to state issues and concerns without the "employee liaisons" coming after them. Junior staff turnover is worse than McDonalds because of director treatment. Head of dept. does nothing when employees are not treated fairly.
