Worst management with few fantastic people. - Anonymous employee ION Group Employee Review

I joined this place with extremely high hopes by looking at the infrastructure of the Noida office but only to get surprise horrendously. Undoubtedly above average infrastructure and reachability are few positive factors I see so far, People who works here for more than 10-15 years are the biggest fools who thinks that they are running the company. Especially managers are very rude, they themselves don’t have any clear vision on what to do and how to do, I doubt how they become even managers and management is playing with careers of new joiners by giving their reporting to such incompetent managers. Just for the sake they organize online training which yields nothing but wastage of time, they even don’t try to identify what exactly are the training needs to grow their employees. 1) They don’t have designations (yes you read correct, People calls themselves managers just on basis of years spend with company and efficient art of harassing their subordinates.) 2) No employee welfare or excursion activities except festive celebrations ( looks like any shady wedding lunch with people running on each other to get dishes) and annual day celebration during year end. 3) You will never be assigned any KRA or something in written about your duties and responsibilities because they themselves are puzzled. They might hire you for a technical role and you may end up performing duties of a “assistant” to your manager. 4) Every year in a certain month (during performance review in June) they lay off massive number of employees just to cut their expenses of salaries and this is a mandate exercise for them. Very unprofessional & dangerous approach. 5) No transparent & clearly defined policies of HR & Admin, two of most hopeless departments have seen so far. They have policies as per the employee’s importance, and yes if an employee thrashes them they will surely don’t ask a question, really don’t know what sense of application they use.
