Pros
many likeable people at iir, particularly in the producer/divisional manager positions, the job can be intellectually stimulating and provided you have developed a reasonable track record you can run with your own conference ideas
Cons
extremely high turnover of staff, this can be demoralising emphasisis on quanitity not quality of events, only offer high salaries when staff threaten to quite - unfair on loyal employees, the physical office environment is very depressing with cramped uncomfortable work conditions and the organisation is very secretive - poor at keerping its staff up to date with what is really going on a strategic level
