Pros

Great Product and Name The company has made a great name for itself in the AV, security and automation space since 2009, but is now very well poised to take advantage of the fast-expanding Internet of Things (IoT) economy as well. A great outlook. Collaborative Environment The work culture is exceptional because people are respected for their input, making for a very collaborative environment. To date, the management team has done a fabulous job bringing in the right mixture of engineers, sales and marketing who all contribute to the positive chemistry of the place. The culture is very relaxed, but it is still a fast growing startup with no room for dead wood. You need to perform. The High Tech Experience You Need The people, the perks, company outings and standing traditions (like beer Friday) make Ihiji (eye-hee-jee) a great place to start your career as an intern or to gain some world-class high technology industry experience if you are a more seasoned professional. New products are in the queue and a recent round of funding has been helpful in gaining resources to meet the challenges to come. Senior Management The founders all "get it" which is very refreshing. They have experience running a company in the same field as most Ihiji customer and prospect personas do today. They are also good at knowing when to delegate things which are outside of their own wheelhouse. A best way to put the most qualified experts on the challenges at hand.

Cons

When you have set such a high bar for new team members, recruiting the right people to complement the culture and the tackle the daily challenges can be very time-consuming. This is typical con for a high technology startup, and not a bad problem to have.
