Pros

Had amazing experience working with IFRC, teamwork is promoted, duty of care is also great. I had so much experience working with different unit and also travel accross Indonesia. There is lots opportunity for self development like learning and training.

Cons

The complex administration system because IFRC has quite solid and complex processess. Self development also depends on the available budget and what are the gaps in the team unit

Pros

The UNGA is a busy time at the UN, this provides a lot of excellent experience. The team works well and tries its best to ensure it is a beneficial one. Unlike many internships related to the UN, it is paid a stipend, which makes a difference

Cons

The stipend is not quite enough to live on, but it is fair for 3 days a week.

Pros

Friendly and inspiring environment. You really feel at the center of humanitarian work and that you can contribute to concrete impacts for vulnerable people.

Cons

Management does not always coach employees in new roles and too much turnover. Difficulties in balancing work and family life when you're hired on a contract basis.
