Pros

I have been with ICW Group at the Southeast Branch for over 6 years, and I've seen it grow steadily and profitably during my time here. One thing that really stands out to me is the supportive management team. They're not just figureheads; they're there on the ground, working alongside us and providing the support and guidance we need to succeed. I've seen this support reflected in the opportunities for internal promotion. As the branch has grown, new positions in management have opened up, and the team here has been great about recognizing and nurturing talent from within. What really sets this branch apart, though, is the sense of camaraderie among team members. From Underwriting to UAs, Management, Audit, Risk Management, and Claims, everyone works together as a cohesive unit. There's a genuine desire to help each other succeed, rather than competing against one another. Overall, I'm proud to be a part of ICW Groups Southeast Branch. It's a great place to grow professionally, and I feel fortunate to work with such a supportive and talented team.

Cons

After 20 years in the industry, I can say that my experience at ICW Group has been demanding but rewarding. I find myself working harder here than I ever have, but it's not because of unreasonable expectations. Rather, it's because I have such respect for my management team and want to excel for them and my peers. One minor downside is that December can be a bit challenging. Like many companies in the industry, there's a heightened workload and technically no time off during the month. However, one positive aspect is that, as a Business Development Underwriter, you have the flexibility to work from anywhere throughout the year as long as you can manage your workload effectively- even in December.

Pros

Triage department does some of the initial contacts.

Cons

Management is going in the wrong direction. New changes and processes with added work while taking tools away to help you do your work. The changes and processes are meant to cut costs to help the company expand while overworking the adjusters which negatively impacts claims handling and services provided to customers.
