Pros

The company truly values its clients and investors. ICW consistently focuses on what is right for the client as well as its shareholders. The company embraces new technology and business trends. ICW is a worthwhile place to work if one is getting his or her start in the job place or is transitioning to insurance from another field.

Cons

The focus on customers and technology is in stark contrast with any focus on employees. The company fails to realize that its employee base consists of people, as opposed to units of labor. Communication is nonexistent and the company is extremely secretive. As a result, employees are embarrassingly unaware of company goals and strategy. ICW has a very rigid atmosphere in which even the most experienced employees are intensely micromanaged. Employee performance, budget, and goals are mentioned on a near daily basis. However, conversations regarding bonuses and compensation are taboo. Breaks (lunch or otherwise) are frowned upon. Upper management has distinct social bubbles. If an employee is not connected to one of these bubbles, he or she can easily find him or herself on the outside looking in.

Pros

Triage department does some of the initial contacts.

Cons

Management is going in the wrong direction. New changes and processes with added work while taking tools away to help you do your work. The changes and processes are meant to cut costs to help the company expand while overworking the adjusters which negatively impacts claims handling and services provided to customers.
