      Good wages; fulfilling work. The apprenticeship program does a good job of preparing people to be excellent field electricians.

      Cons

      The good ole boy network is still alive and well within this local union. The perks of this job come at a cost: hard to find child care, most jobs will demand 10 hour days, with an inhumanely early start time that make it hard for work/life balance.

      Pros

      Great pay okay benefits. When there are jobs there are a lot of them. Easy to move up to Gorman if you are a hard worker and reliable.

      Cons

      Instability of work. You could be working for 9 months then suddenly have no work for 2 months. You should be able to market your skills else wear while waiting for the hall to get jobs on the board.
