Pros

During install phase, delivery bonuses are very rewarding. You gain a lot of knowledge and experience.

Cons

Benefits are not at all up-to-par with other companies. You pay the majority of health insurance costs and all of the dental/vision cost. Raises are, likewise, sub-par with many employees ranking "good" only getting a 1% raise. Ambition is not valued and Belgian HR discourages Americans from applying for R&D positions. No real opportunity for growth within the company. Management works 9am to 6pm, when we're operational from 7am to 11pm (and required to do maintenance on third shift). They're critical of anything that occurs outside of their working hours.

Pros

Great technologies, Save life. Overall, European company normally does not treat the US employee as the same.

Cons

Poor management, Shift can be changed with prior planning. Service Engineers must take a many difference hats. Identify your potential before apply this type of job after graduated. Seems that you don't learn anything after you took your advance operator. However if you know the full knowledge of the Proton B1 or B1+, then you are not using outside of IBA to enhance your career.
