Pros
The family-like culture at I-AM is incredibly hard to beat, you work with friends not colleagues, despite departments, seniority or project teams. The studio is open-plan meaning you can easily converse with Directors and Partners and really learn from their experience - the Senior Leadership team genuinely care about all of their staff and want them to learn, develop and succeed. There's also incredible talent and designers who have stayed for years and years because it's such a great gig. The inclusivity means you can learn from everyone and also contribute, despite having different or less experience.
The work is varied, from retail, banking, hotels, and hospitality and clients varying from global corporations to start-up disruptors, from all corners of the world. This coupled with other global studios means that travel can be frequent, and you can form connections and friendships across different teams. Proactivity is rewarded here, and while the teams work really hard, there's a great social scene too.
Cons
Salaries are within industry norm but I'd say on the lower side - as long as you can justify your asking for more it's usually met, or you're provided with a realistic plan towards achieving your goal.
