      Pros

      Suburban location, nice campus, fitness center, beauty salon, health clinic on site

      Cons

      Exceptionally poor pay for seasoned employees. Mediocre benefits. They prefer to hire two inexperienced low-paid people than to pay a long-term, experienced employee well. Focus is on fun and games; it’s smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that you are underpaid, overworked, and under-valued. If you let on that you are in any way dissatisfied, you can bet you’ll be on your way out the door. Yes, the fun-culture image is just marketing hype. It’s a place for young people to cut their teeth. I would not recommend Hyland for long term employment. Actually, that thought fits right in with their plan. Just go in with your eyes open.

      Work/life balance Great people to work with on daily basis Ability to work remote (US based) Plenty of development opportunities I've been given the tools I need to do my job and be innovative I have an amazing manager and team that I lead

      Cons

      I am restricted on where I can hire new employees right now. There are a lot of competing priorities with similar deadlines which can be stressful, but the days go by fast.

      Pros

      Remote or hybrid capability. Usually a flexible schedule.

      Cons

      Constant quiet firing. They've figured out how to avoid public disclosures quite well. Every month they're whacking batches of 20~30 employees - esp. if you were in a higher pay band or part of an acquired company. There's constant leadership churn as of late - not that leadership was ever that great, but the clownshow has more makeup on the pigs now. If you were part of an acquired company, the stench of nepotism was constant. Hyland doesn't provide legitimate training or certification assistance for everyone. Their products would fail any sort of security scan by an AI tool too. If you're a customer, buyer beware.
