Pros

Decent pay if you fight for it.

Cons

Poor management from director supervisors all the way up to the top. Management ever takes responsibility for their actions. No accountability. Have to fight for every penny you get, they don’t recognize their technicians worth. Will run you into the ground and then ask for more without batting an eye. Will lie to employees and omit policies just to keep someone until it’s convenient for them to let them go. Can’t hold on to customer accounts for anything. Service side doesn’t produce much profit due to poorly managed accounts and contracts. Super low employee morale due to micromanagement and overworking employees. Benefit packages are subpar.

Pros

A consistent five‑day work week schedule.

Cons

Hussmann may be a recognizable name, but the internal experience is far from positive. Management is consistently reported as disorganized, unresponsive, and disconnected from the day‑to‑day realities employees face. Support from leadership is minimal, and follow‑through on basic issues is often lacking. Advancement is rare, and many employees feel stuck with no clear path forward regardless of performance or effort. These problems contribute to a workplace culture that feels negative, discouraging, and unnecessarily stressful. Stronger leadership, real opportunities for growth, and a genuine commitment to employee well‑being are badly needed. I would never recommend working at Hussmann.
