Pros

Absolutely shocking place to work Ive Worked here for 5 years The first 2 years were very challenging but okay, the last 3 years were the worst 3 years of my life I had to resign. This place is absolutely rife with bullys and the way some of the managers treat their staff is nothing more than shocking. i was verbally abused and bullied daily for years, i was threatened with violence on two occasions too, staff invold got away scott free after months of biased flawed investigations. The warehouse's organisation is a massive joke the worst ive ever seen in over 11 years of operating in one, numerous times racking was dangerously overloaded and pallets regularly placed dangerously too. stock is thrown on the shelves without a care and piled everywhere you will struggle to find most important parts and stock loss is huge. I had reported that many health and safety violations in this place ive lost count and no one seems to care its almost like they are waiting for the inevitable to happen. Everytime staff members raised concerns they were always treated as a massive nuisance so alot of people tended to turn a blind eye to everything, "Not my job" sort of attitude. Health and safety regulations only existed if it suited, manager opperating a forklift truck whilst using a mobile phone on the goods in yard was gobsmacking to me, i am an experienced multi licensed truck operator of almost 10 years. Time served, loyalty and dedication is not appreciated. Staff turn around is MASSIVE, the amount of multi skilled, reliable and intelligent workers that have left this place over the last two years is unfathomable. Whilst working here i also worked alongside many convicted criminals within this place, from drug dealers trying to make a decent living through a pandemic to former GBH gold medalists, background checks seem to be non existant. The organisation throughout this company is really bad too, always running out of important parts and overstocking of parts that are hardly ever used. Everything is done backwards then redone and done again the companies costs for normal tasks completed must be huge there is so much unecessary wasted hours and alot of people just stood around. The system they use is also really dated, slow and frustrating and the company don't provide everyone with the correct transaction guns that actually fully work to carry out your daily tasks. Pay is not bad at all and overtime rate is half decent with double time paid on a sunday however with the amount of low morale and the extremely toxic environment i don't think you'll want to spend more time than your contracted hours which is a massive shame because everyone likes abit of extra cash to buy nice things. The company also has a £500 bonus scheme if you reccomend a family member or friend to work here... Overall i really enjoyed my job within the warehouse when i was left alone, not harrassed and left to complete my everyday tasks.... This was hardly ever as there was always an episode within this place people seemed to get off on upsetting other people, bickering and talking about others was a common theme, if i wanted to be a soap actress though i would of applied for eastenders. Argueing, threatening and fights was a weekly/montly occurence within this place and there was never any preventive measures i seen put in place to stop this either. Potentially Husco runcorn could be a really good place to work but it would need a massive overhaul starting right from the top. It is a shame i wasted 3 years of my life here but we all live and learn, i walked straight out of this place and into a new job, i still can't understand why i let myself go through it for so long. This is my honest review and my personal experience only, I would not reccomend this company to anyone. Thanks for reading, take care 👍🏻

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, although I was disappointed to hear of how you felt during your time here at Husco. Over the past 3 years Husco’s UK facility has grown significantly. The manufacturing team has doubled in size, and the many new production cells and product launches have definitely given us some challenges. Our experienced operators are being called upon to train our new hires, and we’re grateful to both our experienced operators for sharing their knowledge and experience, and grateful to our new hires for their patience as we try and provide a positive onboarding experience. I was troubled to hear of your experience in relation to bullying and your perception of the effectiveness of our investigations. When an employee has a concern in relation to their treatment at work, we encourage employees to raise these issues to us. We work to investigate these issues thoroughly, promptly, and fairly for all parties involved. Although we recognise that a thorough investigation can sometimes take some time to complete, we feel it is important to properly listen to everyone involved. When further action is required, we then take appropriate action. I’m sorry to hear that you feel that this wasn’t successful in resolving your issues. I wish you every success for the future

Pros

Good learning for fresh out of college as you get hands-on on everything

Cons

Since it is a tier 1- You have to be hands - on from day 1 and you were expected to wear multiple hats at once.
