Pros

Definitely flexible and a friendly environment for teachers. Teachers were always discussing, among themselves, ways to improve our lesson plans and strategies.

Cons

It would've been if teachers were paid just a bit more (especially if they're experienced)

Pros

Coworkers are generally kind and supportive on an individual level Work can feel meaningful when focused directly on helping students Good short-term experience for people early in their careers who need something on a resume

Cons

Severely inconsistent hours and pay, making it difficult to rely on this job for basic financial stability Constant last-minute callouts from staff or students that employees are expected to absorb or “fix” with little notice Regular pressure to work outside of scheduled hours (late-night messages, off-the-clock problem solving, weekend issues) without compensation Poor boundaries between work and personal time; availability is often treated as an expectation rather than a choice Frequent role changes without clear communication, updated job descriptions, or pay adjustments Employees are expected to take on responsibilities outside their role with no additional pay or recognition Disorganized operations and reactive management, leading to ongoing chaos rather than proactive planning Advancement opportunities are vague or nonexistent despite increased workload and responsibility Lack of transparency around staffing decisions, restructuring, and job security Workload is uneven, leading to burnout for some while others are underutilized High turnover and low morale are normalized instead of addressed
