Pros

Really friendly people and the company does great things to prevent fraud. Great place to learn about fraud prevention.

Cons

Rough onboarding process. Since it is a start up lots of context switching occurred while I was there, constant process changes and the managers were wearing lots of hats and didn't have the time to actually be good managers. A fair amount of liberal political views were shared here while in team meetings and on chats which makes everyone else with opposing views pretty uncomfortable since its typically unprofessional to share political views at work. After a year of being there, I was told I would be getting a raise and then my manager just kept pushing back the date of a raise until I was eventually laid off with my fellow co-workers.

Pros

Really really enjoyed my time there. Everyone is space-alien smart, and also extremely caring & helpful. I have no idea how they managed to do that across an entire organization, but they did. The mission is also really easy to get behind, no need for mental gymnastics that what you're doing is actually making a difference. Very transparent company as well.

Cons

Not a con at all, but there is zero sunk cost fallacy and procedural inertia in play here. If it isn't working, make it better! Having such an empathetic team makes this all the easier.

Pros

A fully remote company with good salary and perks. The company nurture a collaborative environment, and a lot of people even make the first move offering their help

Cons

Growing pains. Some senior employees are arrogant and entitled. The middle management just beats around the bush, doesn't have empathy and EQ (some of them) . While the culture fosters transparency, in reality it is not like that and a lot of office politics going on. Also a lot of words were put on the importance of diversity, but when you look at the company's demographic, it's not diverse at all. As someone mentioned in another review, before the layoff the company started firing people, as if the issue was on the employee but on on the company
