Pros
Seriously, it is an awful company.
Cons
I could go on all day. They punish you for using your PTO. Being paid on time is the outlier. The owner runs payroll, and he can't be bothered to do it when he's supposed to. He simply doesn't care. And if he's on vacation when it's time to do it, you don't get paid, sometimes up to 6 days after you're supposed to. Management will. not. listen to any advice or ideas you have to solve a problem. Then, when everything inevitably goes wrong, they'll use your initial ideas as though they were their own and you will receive no credit. If middle management is causing slow down in the warehouse, and you go to someone higher up to find a solution, you will be punished and absolutely nothing will change. There's nepotism, and higher up's girlfriends will get hired and will get promoted over you in half the time you've been there. People have started physical altercations and used racial slurs, and are still there. They will not have your back. One hispanic delivery driver was verbally accosted by a customer, being called derogatory remarks. The CEO's response? Making everyone in the warehouse do another background check. They consider snacks a "perk", and when you complain about not getting paid, etc., they'll use the snacks to lord over you as a way to get you to stop complaining. We're talking crackers and lunch meats here. And the dichotomy of how the warehouse is treated vs. the retail store sales people is absurd. The sales people are treated to lunches, to dinners, given presents, raises, etc. The people in the warehouse are treated terribly, and do 3x the work. Bottom line is this: this place is riding a bubble. Once it bursts, they've done nothing to prepare themselves for it, because they honestly don't seem to have any idea what they're doing. It's going to get bloody, and they have no sense of loyalty, so they're going to lay off anything and anyone to stop the bleeding. I would absolutely pass.
