The people at Hubble Homes are hard working dedicated individuals committed to creating a decent working environment. The owner does a fantastic job in hiring highly qualified people, who band together in a dysfunctional and hardly tolerable environment.
Cons
At best, the job is a temporary engagement. Sadly the owner Don Hubble hires amazing people only to fire them later for no reason(literally), in some cases he offers a letter of recommendation. The company has a very high turnover of qualified people, being hired with high enticing salaries and bonuses, but terminated after a short period of time. If hired there keep looking for a job, there is not a very good long term outlook at Hubble Homes. The Owner has lots of meetings with staff, insists on detailed work plans and a rigid following of work plans, but does not follow them himself. Don Hubble professes that his people are his most valued resource, but results do not lie..he has fired dozens in the last 2 years...he is a walking disaster. He admits he has no idea the direction his company is headed and that he doesn't know how to get it to where he wants it to be. In the last few years Don has hired several highly qualified sales directors and yet allows the sales people to push him around by going on strike. Don loads up responsibilities on Home design staff who has no idea how to design homes. Sales people work whenever they want and leave sales to chance. The very people that keep the machine running are demeaned and belittled. Many staff show up early and leave late and then told by the owner that it is not enough. Many employees reported that they had no life outside of Hubble because of the overall consuming nature of the office.
