Pros

Working at Hubbox was a genuinely enjoyable experience thanks to the fantastic in-store culture. The team was incredibly fun, and managers on the ground were supportive, encouraging, and easy to approach; they helped rather than micromanaged. It was the perfect job to have alongside university, with flexible hours that worked around my exam schedule. Also, the staff food was genuinely amazing and a real perk during long shifts.

Cons

Unfortunately, upper management felt disconnected and often seemed indifferent to staff concerns. A big issue was the removal of the service charge policy, which instantly cut weekly tips in half, a huge blow to morale and earnings. Additionally, the tip-sharing system is skewed in favour of kitchen staff, with tips distributed by hours worked, despite the front-of-house team directly generating them. A new menu was also rolled out with zero communication or prep, which made it frustrating for staff and confusing for customers.

Pros

Before service charge was taken away tips and wages were okay. Team are generally nice, but a few bad eggs.

Cons

No support from management The removal of service charge was an awful idea that really affected morale, like another comment states it cut tips in half. Poor communication on every level. A previous comment said management was creepy, unsure if this comment has been removed? But it is correct.
