Pros

-bagels on monday; talented film producers -Alex (COO) is great (but no longer there as of July 2013)

Cons

-Only emphasis is on churning out content. It is obvious the producers are overwhelmed (and extremely underpaid) with the quotas each month -Most videos don't get very many views, site doesn't get that many page views, and publishers that Howcast is on also don't generate many views. -No career growth; the job listing was extremely different than the responsibilities I actually had. It was demeaning. -Talked to some people who have been there for over 2 years and not once had they been given a bonus or raise. They did get a job promotion title, but that's meaningless at a company with such few people. -Most projects don't materialize, and it's always blamed on budget. it's also clear from early on that projects will be abandoned but no one is comfortable saying anything -For such a small company, it's amazing how little transparency there is.

Pros

The company is young and dynamic, and very nimble. The employees are all very dedicated and do a great job. The website is great, and is full of really fantastic videos. The Howcast studios produce amazing content, which is a reason I believe Howcast will succeed.

Cons

Everyone is always busy, which makes it hard for part-time interns to find work. I spent the first few weeks of my internship struggling to fill my days, especially with something usefull. I felt underused and underappreciated, but I think this was a product of the sheer ammount of work everyone was trying to get done.
