Pros

Positive work, outcomes that matter

Cons

Implementation, budgeting, proper management of roles and duties, inefficient, poor management (no change when issues are brought to attention), take advantage of cheap labor for lower positions. Retention rate is poor because of these issues. Bottom tier pay. Budget is maxed out and no room for growth.

Pros

So many leaders are incredibly informed about the tres and environment and invasive species and how to execute caring for the area. During days of impossible weather, there's training for certifications in the construction field or nature documentaries to boost knowledge of the area They expect you to move on from the company and set up training for informational interviews and connect you to experts in your desired career path, and crafts time during the work week to complete interviews Well organized and provides multiple aides to complete a job well Culture of caring for the worker's needs as well and allows open feedback Paid to get a workout with paid holidays (you actually get paid)

Cons

It is a non-profit so pay is low It is an outdoor job and sometimes it's in the rain in the fall/winter season or hard work in the hot spring/summer season It is landscaping and can wear down an unprepared body quickly On days with impractical or dangerous weather, they try to give you training and nature videos but it will sometimes end up as a half day of pay or a day off Work hours don't leave a lot of flexibility for errands during the week
