Pros

Employee pride is high due to the nature of the work and the Hospital's reputation in the medical community. Many extras for employees such as holiday celebrations, employee luncheons, employee satisfaction surveys.

Cons

Rapid turnover of executives and middle management does not allow for continuity of vision. Political beauracracy is quite heavy. Financial management is very resistant to change of core processes. Decision making is hampered by upper management roadblocks.

Pros

Great organization to grow professionally in healthcare operations. Strong focus on patient care, quality, innovation, and leadership development. I’ve gained valuable experience in physician support, operations, workflow improvement, and cross-functional collaboration while working with talented teams and leaders.

Cons

Fast-paced environment with high expectations and increasing responsibilities. At times, leadership roles can feel under-titled compared to the level of operational work being performed. Work-life balance can also be challenging during staffing shortages, major initiatives, or clinic transitions.
