Pros
Decent landscaping- that's about it
Cons
I left after Pfizer announced that they would acquire Hospira and that they did not know who *if anyone* would still have a job after the deal closes at the end of the year. I feel bad for the employees that were loyal to this company. Outside of the acquisition I can tell you that Hospira is a revolving door that cant retain talented people. Their infrastructure has been deteriorating since they offshored IT in 2009 and they have a bunch of entry level Indian IT workers that barely speak English running all of their major systems. If you have any skill or are able to communicate effectively people will latch onto you and call you at all hours to avoid the frustration of dealing with the outsourced helpdesk in India. There is no role definition because the outsourced helpdesk cant figure out where to route tickets. So if there is a major problem they just start throwing any resource at it. There is no recognition for talent- the review and bonus process is arbitrary. Management waits until the day before reviews are due and then scramble to throw reviews together and reward all the suck-ups. Run- dont walk- away from Hospira.
