Pros
If this is your first job at a firm, Hopgood is a great place to start! Most of the teams are super friendly, there are opportunities to socialise with different teams and levels of experience, and the environment is friendly and open, so you can be comfortable learning new skills and asking questions of anyone.
Cons
The leadership is inconsistent across teams, and there isn't much room to grow. I enjoyed working with my team and greatly respect them in the industry. However, I asked multiple times for proper mentorship, feedback, constructive criticism and for more challenging tasks in my role. I never received any response from this, they would say they'd think about it, and nothing would ever come of it. I feel like an employee shouldn't have to push so much for this. Some teams are also dysfunctional because of the focus on being a 'family'. The firm is very top-heavy too - lots of Partners - there's not much room to grow or work your way up in a lot of areas.
